Last, I hope, attempt at the images.

May 24th, 2010 · Music News

Okay, here are the last tries at getting this lined out.

Back cover:

I did the re-alignment suggested, and changed the ‘producer’ to ‘recording’. I also put the special thanks names in alphabetical order. I’d like to have been able to write a small paragraph there and then include the names, but that panel on the image is just not big enough for that.

I also updated the text on the inside photo of the band to reflect Recording: Brian Cullen

So the images would then be:

Sunday Sessions - Cover

Inside cover - left

Disk image

Note on the copyright: I just went with the 2009 though I found email where we discussed rehearsals and the project dated as far back as November of 2008! Yikes! I’m of the mind it’s ’bout time to get on with it 🙂

Another attempt at the cd images

May 17th, 2010 · Music News

Okay, here’s a little different take on the back and spines for the cover.

This has the changes suggested and a short bit of 'thanks' text

It was tougher than last time for some reason, and apologies for putting this off for so long, but I really just couldn’t get the time and the urge/energy to dive back into it.

The text is just not so simple to add as you’re working with some rather limited palette spaces. I added what fit without looking too cramped or messing up the other text and image alignments.

I tried to work on the disk image, but really couldn’t get it to be any better than the one I already had.

Basically, unless there’s something really wrong/bad/unacceptable about this one, I’m ready to move on 🙂

ICAN festival photos and update

April 26th, 2010 · Music News

Hey all,

First off, thanks to Jimmy for all the hard work he put in on this event. I don’t have the numbers, but it looked to me to have been a success. I know my boys had a great time running around, playing the games, catching up with a few old friends and making some new ones, as did I.

It was terribly windy, and as you may know, playing outside is often challenging even in great weather conditions. We fought the wind, held on to music folders and stands, (lucky for me hair wasn’t a problem 🙂 ) and enjoyed ourselves.

We played for about an hour, maybe 50 minutes, and as best as I could tell folks were enjoying it. No rotten (or otherwise!) vegetables tossed (though with that wind…).

Here are a couple of pictures that Bynn took for us.

Couple of very cute little guys dancing around doing their Michael Jackson impressions.
